Masters in Hospital Administration
A Masters in Hospital Administration at Padmashree College of Hospital Administration would mean that a candidate can take on the mantle of a Hospital Administrator/ Manager/ Executive in any set up like Private, Non Profit, Government, Corporate or even the health insurance sector. It prepares the individuals to take on leadership roles by equipping them with training in planning, project & operational management, financial, material and human resource management. The College is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Karnataka, Bangalore and recognized by the Government of Karnataka. The college offers two years full time postgraduate course - Masters in Hospital Administration (MHA).
Objectives
The main objectives of the course are to enable the candidate to:
- Evaluate the management, growth and development issues faced by hospital managers.
- Review and evaluate services using concepts of organisation and structure, methods of planning and managing human, financial, material resources etc.
- Analyse and develop hospital policies in the relevant local and national context
- Understand the principles of good governance and professional ethics
- Communicate effectively, work in groups, set priorities and manage workload effectively
- Have a capacity for independent learning and continuing professional development

Admission
Duration of Course:
2 Years (4 Semesters)
Eligibility:
Qualifying examination- Any full time Bachelors degree from a university recognized by
Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka. In case of SC/ST candidates the
minimum marks shall be 45%.
Marks - A minimum of 60% in the qualifying examination
Selection Procedure - An Entrance Test and Interview will be conducted in college as and
when the candidate visits the college. If the candidate clears the same, admission will be
provided. The Entrance test is a general test which checks the candidate’s knowledge of the
English Language, vocabulary, verbal ability and his/her personality.
